Police seized more than £39,000 in cash and two Rolex watches at the Channel Tunnel in Folkestone.
The money was discovered at about 8am on Thursday following a search of a car at the terminal.
Kent Police say two men from Bristol, aged 34 and 38, who couldn’t account for having the large amount of money and high-value watches, were arrested at the scene.
A police spokesman said: "Both men have been released but remain under investigation whilst enquiries continue."
The incident comes after three people were arrested on Wednesday after £100,000 in cash was found sewn into two handbags at the Channel Tunnel.
A vehicle search by Border Force officers revealed two handbags, containing about £100,000 which had been sewn into their linings.
The women, aged 27 and 47, were detained on suspicion of concealing criminal property. A man, aged 28, was also arrested on suspicion of money laundering.
