A Sainsbury’s store was evacuated after a fire broke out.
Fire crews attended the scene in Park Farm Road, Folkestone, just before midday following reports of smoke coming from the premises.
Customers gathered in the car park after “all fire alarms went off”.
Three fire engines were in attendance and crews found a small fire in the external drains.
One resident said on Facebook: “My husband had just paid when the alarms went off, he said there was smoke coming out of the gutters.”
No injuries were reported, and the cause is not yet known.
