A secondary school has closed its doors today due to a major power failure.
The Folkestone Academy, in Academy Lane, made the announcement this morning, saying that it will be closed today.
It has since confirmed that the school will re-open tomorrow and that the power is back on.
A statement said: "Folkestone Secondary Academy is open as normal tomorrow for Academic Review Day.
"Parents have received their appointment times by letter.
"We apologise for the inconvenience today's closure has caused. The power is back on."
The Folkestone Primary Academy next door and Glassworks Sixth Form Centre in Grace Hill has been open as normal.
It is not known whether today's power cut was due to Storm Angus which lashed the county over the weekend.
More than 1,000 pupils are enrolled at the academy.
