A man has been left with serious injuries after a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Folkestone this morning.
The pedestrian was airlifted to a London hospital after the crash in The Stade at 10.50am.
A worker at a nearby business, who did not want to be named, said the man was eating on tables and chairs outside The Captain's Cabin Cafe at the time of the crash.
She added: "We saw him lying on the floor. His family were standing around him crying. It was horrible.
"The paramedics treated him on the ground for about 30 minutes before they took him off in the helicopter."
The road is still closed while police investigate.
