Police tape off The Leas in Folkestone after woman found with head injury

A seaside path was cordoned off by police after a woman was found with head injuries.
Officers were called shortly before midnight on New Year’s Eve to The Leas in Folkestone where they found a woman in her 40s.
She has been taken to a London hospital.
A 53-year-old man who is known to the victim was arrested, but was later released without charge.
Forensic officers were seen in the area between the Leas Cliff Hall and the First World War centenary arch aped off.
The Folkestone New Year's Day parkrun had to be diverted as a result, a witness said.
The runners usually do a looped 5km course between the Leas Cliff Hall cafe and the Leas Water Lift.
