Drivers are being urged to take extra care when approaching J11a of the M20 due to high levels of lorry traffic.
Motorists are being advised to take extra care when taking the coast-bound turn-off for the Channel Tunnel, as there's a high volume of lorry traffic on the motorway.
The delays are said to be caused by a number of issues, including increased security checks and the general high level of traffic.
Traffic is queueing on the A2 coast-bound between Whitfield Hill and the A20 Eastern Docks roundabout.
The A20 south-bound entry slip road is closed due to restrictions brought in at J13 of the M20 for Folkestone.
The Port of Dover is advising customers to allow plenty of time to travel from Dover to Calais and Dunkirk.
A statement said: "Due to on-going heightened security checks, please have your passports ready and be prepared to exit your vehicle if required or requested."
