This seagull left shoppers in a flap after it made its way into a Poundland store, yesterday.
The bargain hunting bird was seen flying around inside Bouverie Place Shopping Centre in Folkestone at around 3pm.
Video footage, captured by local filmmaker Ben Barton, shows it crashing into wires causing signs to fall down.
It is thought the bird entered the shop while trying to steal food from the shelves by the entrance.
A witness said: “The gull was flying up into the metal wires, hurting its wings.
“Signs were also crashing down from the ceiling onto customers’ heads.
“I left after about half an hour. The staff didn’t seem to know what to do.
"It was quite dangerous really. I’m surprised they didn’t close the shop. A customer could have been hurt.
“I have no idea what happened to the gull but when I left, it didn’t look like it was going anywhere!”
It is not known if the bird managed to make its way out or if it was rescued.
A representative from the store has refused to comment.
KentOnline contacted Folkestone firefighters. They said they were not called to assist.
