The Ska Splash Folkestone event planned to be held over the August bank holiday weekend has been cancelled, it was announced last night.
Organisers made the announcement on its Twitter page.
Hundreds of people turned out on the harbour front last year during the festival over a sunny summer weekend.
Ska Splash was to be held between August 29 and 31. It was one of two ska festivals that were planned for Folkestone in August this year.
The other one, Folkestone Ska Fest, is going ahead and organiser John Sims said: “We are carrying on with our event, which is not for profit and purely for the community.”
Fest, which stemmed from the first Folkestone ska event Skabour in 2010, is on August 8 to 10 at the Leas Cliff Hall.
