Two arrested in connection with Folkestone burglary when teenager woke to find men in her room

Two men have been arrested following a burglary in which a teenage girl was attacked when she challenged two burglars in her home.
The 18-year-old was knocked to the ground, suffering face and leg injuries, after waking to find the men in her room.
Police released an efit of a man they wanted to trace following the incident, which happened in Garden Road, Folkestone, at 1am last Friday.
A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old from Folkestone hast been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary in connection with the incident.
They have been released on bail pending further inquiries until November 18.
Det Sgt Robert Goodban said: “This has left the entire family traumatised and shaken up.”
The teenager woke up to find two men standing in her room. They left without noticing she was awake and she followed them downstairs to see them rifling through her mother’s handbag before leaving through the front door.
She ran to the door and challenged the intruders. One of them hit her in the face, knocking her to the ground. She suffered facial and leg injuries.
Three mobile phones and a Kindle were stolen, along with around £10 from the handbag.
