Police are investigating after items were stolen from cars on a new-build estate over the Christmas period.
Parked vehicles have been targeted overnight at The Stadium, which is part of Taylor Wimpey's Shorncliffe Heights development in Cheriton, Folkestone.
Several residents have contacted police about their cars being rummaged through, with at least five separate incidents over the past two weeks.
The first theft is believed to have occurred overnight between December 17 and 18, with a gym bag containing trainers, leggings and t-shirt reported stolen from a car parked in The Rangers.
Most recently a purse containing cash was swiped from a parked car in The Lancers between 1.30am and 2am this morning.
Residents have called on the police to step up patrols in the area overnight to deter thieves.
A police spokesman said: "Enquiries are ongoing into both reports and anyone with information or CCTV footage which might assist should call Kent Police on 01843 222289."
