Crews tackle fire in kitchen in Surrenden Road, Folkestone

Three fire engines were sent to a Folkestone house blaze which started in the kitchen.
The incident, which saw smoke rise from a property in Surrenden Road last night, is thought to have started after an item was left on the hob.
The fire service has now issued a reminder to the public, reminding them to keep cooking areas clean and clear at all times.
Firefighters tackled the blaze at about 8.30pm on Friday and extinguished the flames.
No casualties were reported.
A statement from the fire service says "it is believed to have started accidentally due to an item being left on the kitchen hob".
