Police and ambulance shut off Shellons Street car park in Folkestone town centre

A major emergency response has been launched in Folkestone town centre.

Several police and paramedic vehicles are currently in Shellons Street.

At least three ambulances are on the scene and a police forensics van has been sent to the car park.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance service said they were called shortly before midday to a man suffering from a cardiac arrest.

Paramedics are still at the scene giving treatment to a man in his 60s.

A police spokesman added: "We are attending a medical incident at Grace Hill in Folkestone, which the South East Coast Ambulance Service is handling."
