Train services were suspended on a line after a man fell onto the tracks.
All trains that run through Folkestone Central were left unable to run, affecting services from Dover and Ashford, but have since restarted.
There may still be residual delays on the line following the incident, which saw emergency services descend on the station at around 12.25pm.
A spokeswoman for British Transport Police confirmed that a man had fallen on the tracks and suffered a 'medical episode'.
Officers were joined by paramedics and the air ambulance, with the victim airlifted to hospital.
She said: "We were called to Folkestone Central station at 12.25pm today following reports that a man had fallen onto the tracks and suffered a medical episode.
"Paramedics also attended and the man has been taken by air ambulance to hospital for treatment."
Ambulance services have been contacted for comment.
