Travellers leave Radnor Park, Folkestone
08:40, 10 May 2017
A group of travellers have left a park less than 24 hours after setting up.
More than nine caravans were at the bottom end of Radnor Park in Folkestone after arriving last night.
The site was equipped with gas bottles and some of the cars were seen driving on and off the green space this morning.
The caravans were positioned in two clusters.
But at 3.05pm today, the travellers departed after police officers asked them to leave.
This is the second time the land has appealed to travellers since October, when a larger group turned up and stayed for about four days.
Shepway District Council warned earlier today that if they did not leave when requested they would get a bailiff to "remove the encampment" as quickly as possible.
