Kent Police appeal for witnesses to assault in The Old High Street, Folkestone

A trio of thugs are being hunted after a man was reportedly beaten up in the street in Folkestone.

The attack is alleged to have happened in The Old High Street on Saturday, August 1.

A 41-year-old man suffered cuts and bruises to his face following the incident at 11.45pm.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the attack and have issued descriptions of the three suspects.

Two men were seen assaulting the victim, investigating officer Sergeant Simon Drew said, while a third man watched.

The first man was white, clean-shaven of medium build and aged about 30. He had short, dark brown hair and was wearing a black top.

The second was a white man of medium build and was aged around 20 with short mousey-coloured hair. He was wearing a white shirt which was buttoned to the collar.

The third was a broadly-built white man who was clean-shaven and aged about 30. He was wearing a T-shirt and shorts.

Sgt Drew said: "We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or recognises the descriptions of the three men."
