Lorry driver fined after reversing across M20 Channel Tunnel exit at Folkestone

A lorry driver has been fined after being caught reversing across a slip road on the M20.

The driver was ordered to pay £1,000 for backing the HGV up the hard shoulder after missing the exit for the Channel Tunnel terminal at Folkestone.

He was spotted by patrols carrying out the manoeuvre at 8.45am on the coastbound carriageway at junction 11a.

Police said the driver was slapped with two fines totalling £1,000 following the incident which were paid in full before he carried on with his journey.
