A main road was blocked for hours after a two car crash which saw a woman taken to hospital.

The collision happened just before 10.30am near Denton Lane, near the Jackdaw Inn, on the A260, which is the most used road for those travelling to and from Folkestone and Canterbury.

Kent County Council Highways labelled the incident's severity as "high" and warned motorists to "approach with caution."

A police spokesman said: "Officers were in attendance and a road closure was in place due to the vehicles blocking the road.

"One woman has been taken to hospital as a precaution."
