Folkestone men charged after Hawkinge burglaries

Two men have been charged following a spate of car break-ins.
Lewis Bennet, 27, and Kai Hubbard, 21, both face a number of charges after valuables were stolen from cars during three separate incidents near Folkestone .
Between September 1 and 2, a wallet, bank cards and earphones were stolen from a car in Pannel Drive, Hawkinge, while later on a purse and bank cards were taken from a separate vehicle in the same street.
A bag was then stolen from a car in St Johns Way, Densole, on Monday.
Bennett, of The Bayle, Folkestone, has been charged with five counts of theft, six counts of fraud and one count of burglary.
The theft charges relate to the reported incidents in Hawkinge and Densole cars, while the burglary charge relates to an incident in Dymchurch on Wednesday August 12.
Hubbard, of Nash Hill, Folkestone has been charged with four counts of theft, four counts of fraud and one count of robbery.
The robbery charge relates to an incident in Roman Way, Folkestone on Sunday August 16.
Both men appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday and were remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday October 12.
A woman who was also arrested in connection with the incidents has been released without charge.
