Two women were airlifted from the bottom of a cliff after falling from a path.
The coastguard received a call at 9pm last night about two casualties needing help at Capel-le-Ferne, between Dover and Folkestone.
They sustained back injuries after falling down a cliff-side path into a wooded area.
The coastguard team said they assisted the ambulance service and sent Folkestone, Deal and Langdon coastguard rescue teams, as well as two senior coastal operations officers. Kent Fire and Rescue also attended.
A HM Coastguard helicopter airlifted the women who were then passed into the care of the ambulance service.
A spokesman for fire service said: "Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Old Dover Road in Folkestone, following reports of two people falling down a cliff-side path into a wooded area.
"Two fire engines and a technical rescue team attended, and firefighters assisted paramedics, air ambulance crews, and the coastguard in lifting the casualties to safety."
