13:08, 30 March 2024
A vehicle fire forced part of a motorway to close while it was extinguished.

The blaze was reported on the Londonbound carriageway between junctions 12 (Cheriton) and 11 (Hythe/Westenhanger).
All lanes have reopened and traffic is now said to be coping well.
It is not yet known if anyone was injured by the fire.
The fire service has been approached for further details.
