12:00, 09 June 2014
Police need witnesses after a 66-year-old man was punched and knocked unconscious in a crowded Folkestone pub.
One man has since been arrested, but officers still want anyone with information to come forward.
The man was attacked in the Master Brewer at Perries Mead between 6.30pm and 6.45pm Sunday, May 25.
The victim, who is from the town, said he was in the bar area when he was punched in the face and knocked to the ground.
He suffered a cut to the head, lost consciousness for a few minutes and needed hospital treatment.
A man arrested in connection with the incident has been bailed pending further enquiries, but officers would still like to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident.
PC Matthew Petty said: "We have spoken to a number of people who were in the pub at the time the attack took place, but we know that it was very busy that night and there will be more people who would have witnessed the alleged assault.
"I would urge anyone who saw anything to contact Kent Police straight away."
Witnesses should phone PC Petty on 07870 252 885, quoting reference ZY/17080/14.
