Firefighters have issued a warning about safety while cooking after attending a kitchen blaze last night.
A crew on one engine was called to deal with the fire in Mead Road, Folkestone, at 6.45pm and found all occupants of the home outside on arrival.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters extinguished a frying pan on fire with a hose reel jet, and cleared the property of smoke using a high pressure fan.
There were no reported injuries.
Now Kent Fire and Rescue Service is urging people to keep looking while they’re cooking, to ensure a fire safe mealtime.
