Officers are reminding trailer owners to ensure they are securely locked following reports of thefts in the district.
In the last two weeks, there have been three reports of thefts of large twin-axel trailers in Folkestone town centre, Lydd and Greatstone.
Fortunately, the trailers in Folkestone town centre and Lydd have been recovered and returned to their owners following work by the Folkestone Community Policing team.
Sergeant Greg Pochin said: "While we continue our proactive work to target these opportunistic thieves, we ask trailer owners to remain vigilant and review their security arrangements.
"Cover the trailer up, store it in a garage or keep it out of sight – don’t leave it on display for passing potential thieves.
"Use a hitch lock and/or wheel clamp to secure the trailer where possible."
Anyone with information about the thefts should contact Kent Police on 01843 222289.
