Road closures ahead of the Red Arrows display in Folkestone

A series of road closures are due to take place in Folkestone this weekend, ahead of the Red Arrows air display.
More than 40,000 people are expected to descend on the seafront this weekend in celebration of Armed Forces Day, which includes a display by the aerobatic team.
The town council need to close certain parts of the town in preparation for the event.
The following roads will be close to vehicles from 8am until 6pm:
- The Leas from Clifton Road to West Terrace
- Longford Terrace
- Longford Way
- Cheriton Place
- Pleydell Gardens
- Shakespeare Terrace
- Longhorn Gardens
- Clifton Gardens
- Clifton Crescent
- Trinity Crescent
- The Leas from Earls Avenue to Metropole Road East
- Metropole Road East
- Road of Remembrance
Meantime, Radnor Street, Beach Street, The Stade, Fishmarket and Back Street will be closed from 12pm until 6pm on Sunday.
The town council aren't the only organisation issuing guidance ahead of the highly anticipated weekend.
The group Folkestone Rescue, which works alongside Dover Coastguard, the RNLI and NCI Folkestone, are reminding people to also stay safe in the sun with suncream and drinking water, while the district council are asking people to take their rubbish home with them
Re-usable water bottles are advised.
