Woman driver dies after crashing Citroen C3 into parked cars in Weymouth Road, Cheriton

A woman driver in her 70s has died after crashing into two parked cars in a residential street.
The police were called to the incident in Weymouth Road in Cheriton, Folkestone, at about 7pm last night.
A white Citroen C3 was travelling along the stretch towards the High Street when it smashed into a grey Peugeot 208 and a Volkswagen Touran.
The driver of the Citroen, a woman from Folkestone, died at the scene.
Ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said: "We attended the scene with an ambulance but despite paramedic's best efforts the woman was pronounced dead at the scene."
A witness told KentOnline that the road was closed off for hours while officers investigated.
