A young woman died after taking several prescribed tablets, an inquest heard.
Police were called to a block of flats in Hythe on Wednesday, July 16, and found one woman dead, while a second woman had to be taken to hospital.
The inquest into the death of 25-year-old Cassandra Kilshaw, of New Street, Folkestone, opened at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court.
Coroner Rachel Redman was told how Cassandra went to collect prescription medication from the Central Pharmacy in Cheriton Road before boarding a bus with a friend.
She took several of the tablets which are yet to be identified and gave some to her friend.
The coroner’s office confirmed that when she got to her destination in Sir John Moore Avenue she took further tablets and shared them with her friend. An hour or so later Cassandra collapsed on the kitchen floor.
Emergency services were called and Miss Kilshaw’s body was found by paramedics who confirmed she had died.
Two days later, the post mortem was carried out at William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, where her father Stuart formally identified the body.
An investigation into the exact cause of death is still ongoing.
Dozens of friends and family have been paying tribute to Cassie on her Facebook profile, describing her as “fun and bubbly” and “beautiful on the inside and on the outside”.
Alex Mcnaughton wrote on the page, on which she was known as Princess Saskia Destiny Warnes: “Cannot believe what I have just seen! Some are here for a long time others a good time! And we had some pretty good times! R.I.P babe!”
