Folkestone: Woman hit by car in Grimston Avenue

A woman in her 40s has suffered head injuries and has been rushed to hospital after she was hit by a car.
The pedestrian was knocked over in Grimston Avenue, at the junction with Sandgate Road this morning.
Police, the ambulance service and an air ambulance were called at 10.50am.
An ambulance spokesman said: "We sent an ambulance and a car along with our air ambulance.
"The woman has been taken to the William Harvey Hospital by road in Ashford."
The air ambulance is believed to have landed at the Metropole, just metres away.
She was fully conscious and treated at the scene before being taken for further checks "as a priority."
She also had pain in her shoulder and hands.
