Woman in 90s on mobility scooter in accident with 4x4 car in Sandgate Road, Folkestone, near Manor Road

A woman in her 90s on a mobility scooter has had a horrendous collision with a car.
The terrifying road accident, involving a 4x4 vehicle, happened at Sandgate Road, Folkestone, near the junction with Manor Road, just before 2.40pm today.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service, said: "Two paramedic cars and an ambulance were called to deal with a casualty, a woman in her 90s.
"She was fully conscious throughout although suffered a head wound and leg injuries.
"She was taken as a priority to the William Harvey Hospital."
A Kent Police spokesman said today: “South East Coast Ambulance Service called Kent Police to inform us about a woman on a mobility scooter who was involved in a collision with a car.
"Police will continue to investigate this incident. ”
