Teenage boy needed medical treatment after older group of lads threw a stone at his head

A teenage boy required medical treatment after a stone was thrown at his head.
The boy reported he was walking along Cheriton High Street in Folkestone yesterday just after 8pm when it happened.
He was with a friend and the pair were approached by an older group of teenage lads when the stone was lobbed.
Police are now looking into this incident.
A police spokesman said: "Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the incident, or may have information about the assault, to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/023551/16."
