Folkestone boss Neil Cugley wants his table-topping team to start turning their dominance into goals when they return to league action on Saturday.

Three points clear at the top of Ryman League Division 1 South with games in hand over their rivals, Invicta have laid the perfect foundation for a crack at the title.

Cugley has seen his side score in every league game this season but knows they can do better in front of goal.

He said: "I’m delighted with the position we’re in but I just think we’re not quite at it yet in terms of how we can play.

"The players feel the same, they know we can play better.

"Scott Chalmers-Stevens, in the games he’s played for us (filling in for goalkeeper Tim Roberts), said he couldn’t believe how much possession we’ve had and yet not really hurt teams.

"That’s the frustrating thing.

"We need to make the right choices around the box, pick the right pass and get people in.

"Defensively we’re looking quite strong and we’ve got the least goals against."

Folkestone, who were knocked out of the FA Trophy by Haringey on Tuesday night, return to league action on Saturday when they visit mid-table Whyteleafe.
