Ian Draycott has signed a new deal at Folkestone Invicta.
The striker clinched the Golden Boot in Ryman League Division 1 South for a second year running when he netted his 37th league goal on the final day of the season.
Draycott, 27, scored 40 goals in all competitions and he now has a total of 83 to his name in 110 appearances across two seasons with Invicta.
He helped fire Folkestone to the league title and last month said he wanted to stay with the club in the Premier Division next season. Now he's put pen to paper at the Fullicks Stadium.
Invicta boss Neil Cugley said: "He’s signed for next year. That was important for us.
"He’s part of what we want to do so that was good, that we got that done at the same time.
"To get the Golden Boot two years in a row is some achievement. He’s been prolific, I can’t knock him and he’s a good lad as well. All the players were pleased when he scored (on Saturday).
"He’s a very unassuming lad. Sometimes you get goal scorers who are ultra-confident but he just gets on with it and does his own thing."
Draycott has played Premier Division football before with Bedford and Lewes and now he has the chance to prove he can still cut it at Step 3.
Cugley said: "It’s like that for a lot of them. Let’s go and see what we’re about, see if we’re physically and mentally strong enough.
"He’s played at Conference South and Ryman Premier so hopefully he wants to go back and show he can score goals at that level. I know I would."
Folkestone, who were crowned champions back on Good Friday, finished 24 points clear at the top after racking up 114 - the highest tally in English football this season.
The play-off semi-finals take place on Tuesday night with Hythe away to Worthing and Faversham visiting Dorking Wanderers.
