Promotion-chasing Folkestone will go on the attack against champions-elect Tunbridge Wells this weekend.

Folkestone travel to The Nevill unbeaten in their last five games and second in Kent League Division 1 - 37 points behind the Wells.

The leaders are on an incredible 10-match winning streak but Folkestone captain Andy Bray believes his team can stop them in their tracks.

He said: "We’re playing against the champions-elect but I want to go there and put a marker down and beat them.

"We’re going there full of confidence and they’re there to be beaten.

"They’ve won 10 games on the bounce, so they’re formidable opposition. They’re on a good run of form and playing good cricket – but so are we.

"I’m looking forward to the game and it’ll give us an idea of where we really are.

"We need to play our positive brand of cricket. I’ve been saying to the guys for the last few weeks – and they rib me for it – that ultimately, if we control the game and control what we do, do our jobs properly, what the opposition and umpires do is irrelevant.

"When you go to places like Tunbridge Wells, you’ve got to be aggressive."
