Folkestone Invicta have signed Scott Heard from Ryman League Division 1 South rivals Whitstable for an undisclosed fee.

As part of the deal, Invicta's 18-year-old defender Callum Wraight has agreed a two-month loan move to The Belmont.

Heard leaves Whitstable having played more than 200 Ryman League games for the Oystermen and has in the past had trials with both Maidstone United and Ebbsfleet as well as attracting interest from a number of Football League clubs including Gillingham and Chesterfield.

Invicta boss Neil Cugley has been a long-time admirer of the youngster who goes straight into the leaders' squad for the home league game against Guernsey on Saturday (kick-off 1pm).

Wraight is almost certain to be given his debut by Whitstable when they travel to Surrey to take on Carshalton Athletic.
