Neil Cugley is putting the pressure on his Folkestone players to set up a Good Friday grandstand finish to the title race.

Invicta will be crowned champions of Ryman League Division 1 South if they win at Worthing on Saturday and beat Walton & Hersham at the Fullicks Stadium six days later.

Their manager would love to finish the job on home turf at the start of the Easter period, having watched his side beat Corinthian Casuals 4-0 last weekend to stay 16 points clear with seven games left.

Cugley said: "We need two more wins and we’d love to do it at home, so if we can go to Worthing and beat them, obviously Good Friday would be a good chance.

"It would be nice to do it on Good Friday. That would mean we’ve gone to Worthing and won and that would make me even happier.

"I’ll put a bit of pressure on the lads to win that one, to then push on to the following one.

"They need these harder games. If they’re going to be around for next season, these are the sort of games when you want to show what you can do.

"That’s what they did so well on Saturday.

"It would be nice to do it at home and hopefully Good Friday will be the day that we should have enough points, whatever happens, to win it anyway."
