There will be a youthful look to Folkestone’s side for their Kent Senior Cup clash against rivals Chatham tonight.

Invicta are hoping to get the better of last year’s Finalists in the First Round at Cheriton Road (kick-off 7.45pm) - but, with a big FA Cup derby to come at Margate this Saturday, changes will be made.

Folkestone joint-head coach Micheal Everitt, in charge alongside Roland Edge, said: “Lenny [Atherton] is injured.

“But Will Dempsey and Elliott Moore [will probably be involved]. It’ll be a youthful side.”

Kevin Hake’s Chats top Isthmian Premier after making a great start to life in Step 3, including a 3-2 success at Cheriton Road in the league last month.

But they head into the game after back-to-back home 5-1 thumpings against ambitious Isthmian South East side Ramsgate and Neil Smith’s Cray Wanderers team.

“Every time you play Chatham, they have a decent-sized squad, so you know they’re going to be good anyway,” said Everitt, whose side won 3-1 against Lewes at the weekend through goals from David Smith, Ibrahim Olutade and Ira Jackson, who has come off the bench to score four times already this season.

“We’re looking forward to it. If we do the right things, we’ll be OK.

“It won’t be a weak side - it’ll be a side we’ll put out to win that game.”
