Hull City striker Johan ter Horst disappointed to end his Folkestone Invicta career with a penalty shootout defeat

Johan ter Horst admitted he was lost for words after his final game for Folkestone Invicta ended in play-off disappointment.
The 19-year-old striker struggled to explain his emotions after Invicta lost the Ryman League Division 1 South final to Leatherhead on penalties on Saturday. Ter Horst, who now begins his career with Hull City in the Premier League, was one of three Invicta players to miss in the shootout.
He said: "It definitely wasn’t the way I wanted it to end. I am lost for words.
"It was a shame to miss my penalty. I would have liked to have done more in the game but I suppose that’s football.
"I would also like to be leaving with Folkestone playing in the league above, because that’s where they deserve to be, but it’s pastures new for me now.
He added: "The first half wasn’t great. It mirrored the match up there when we lost 1-0.
"Cugs (Neil Cugley) changed the formation at half-time to give us more width and we battered them. We had chances and didn’t take them.
"Boothy scoring the equaliser was great - but I am gutted."
Ter Horst scored 27 goals in 49 appearances this season, and 34 in 71 overall.
