Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger might want to consult Neil Cugley before they next have a moan about their fixture lists.
Cugley’s Folkestone Invicta side are at home to South Park on Thursday night and Guernsey then visit for a 1pm kick-off at the Fullicks Stadium on Saturday.
And with a trip to Redhill to negotiate next Tuesday as well, it’s going to be a punishing six days for Cugley and his players.
He said: "Managers in the Premier League would be moaning about playing on Thursday and Sunday but we get on with it.
"They’re good lads here and all clubs at our level generally roll their sleeves up and get on with it.
"It’s all part of non-league football. Our lads will play on Thursday night, go to work on Friday and then get into the ground early on Saturday to play Guernsey.
"They’re genuine people and they’ll get on with whatever’s thrown at them."
Thursday games are rare and this one has been scheduled because South Park are so far behind with their league fixtures.
"I wasn’t that pleased," Cugley admitted. "It’s us getting punished for South Park not playing many games. It should be in April because Thursday games in April are a bit more palatable.
"It’s a bit strange but we’ve got to get on with it. The league said we had to play it this Thursday or the following Thursday so I thought it was best to just get it done."
Right-back Josh Vincent was unavailable for Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Corinthian Casuals but he returns to the Folkestone squad on Thursday.
Ashley Miller hurt his back towards the end of that game and would have been struggling had the South Park fixture been played on Tuesday but the extra time to rest means he should feature on Thursday.
