Joint-manager Micheal Everitt is excited by Folkestone’s attacking options.

Invicta are so blessed in forward areas that Ira Jackson has been operating from the bench.

Given the 26-year-old was playing in the Football League with Grimsby just a couple of seasons ago, that speaks volumes for the talent at Invicta’s disposal.

Substitute Jackson scored a brilliant goal in a 2-2 FA Cup Second Qualifying Round draw at Margate on Saturday, adding to Ibrahim Olutade’s early opener.

He also grabbed the consolation as Gate won Tuesday night’s replay 3-1.

Throw in Dave Smith, Jordan Ababio and ex-Crystal Palace youngster Andre Coker and Invicta’s frontline must be the envy of the Isthmian Premier.

“We all know what Ira can do,” said Everitt, whose side host Whitehawk this Saturday (3pm).

“But Jordan’s got pace and power and I think he’s running the legs out of some of these left-backs before Ira comes on.

“Ira’s coming on and doing brilliantly and scoring goals and it was a great finish on Saturday.

“He’s doing well and he’s not that far away from starting games but we’ve got a squad and I’ve always said this - the team that plays one game probably won’t be the team in two weeks.

“We’ve got depth to the squad. It’s a squad thing, we’re a group, we’re not 11 players, so the team will be what we think will win a game of football.”

Summer signing Coker is another player capable of tormenting defences.

He’s had to bide his time since suffering an injury against Hashtag United at the end of August but Everitt is in no doubt about the quality he brings to the side.

“He’s doing well,” said the Invicta joint-boss.

“He’s been a bit unlucky because he’d played every game and then he picked up an injury at Hashtag.

“Ibz (Olutade) has come in and he’s scoring goals and he’s now got the shirt but that’s football.

“Whether we start Andre or bring him off the bench, he’ll have an impact on the game.

“We played him down the middle for the last 15/20 minutes at Lewes but, ultimately, he’s played wider and he’s got unbelievable feet, so getting him one-on-one with a full-back is probably what we want him to do.

“He’s got that versatility in his game.

“We’ve got a great attacking unit. We’ve got five of them up there and I feel like we’re free-scoring.

“We can turn up and score three or four in a game.

“We’re an attacking unit and that’s the way it is.”

Folkestone visit Potters Bar in the league on Tuesday (7.45pm).
