Folkestone Invicta midfielder Jordan Wright determined to prove himself in the Ryman League Premier Division

Talented youngster Jordan Wright is determined to prove himself in the Ryman League Premier Division after agreeing a new deal at Folkestone.
The 21-year-old started just 10 matches of Invicta’s title-winning campaign, during which he was frustrated by injury and required knee surgery.
But the midfielder has told manager Neil Cugley he’s up for the challenge of Step 3 football.
Cugley said: "I did say to Jordan ‘do you want to stay, what do you want to do?’ and he wants to give it a go. I did say I can’t guarantee him a place but he’s determined to show me he can get in the team.
"To be fair, the year before he got 15 goals from midfield so let’s see how he does. When we played Tonbridge and Margate in the cup games, he played well."
Wright will be one of the smaller players in a physical league and Cugley said: "I’ve spoken to him about that, to show he handle that league but he has got amazingly quick feet.
"It’s up to him. Everybody starts with a clean slate, people who have been injured or didn’t get in.
"We went to Guernsey and he scored a couple of goals. He got back in the side, missed a couple of chances and then we kept winning. It made it awkward for him.
"When anybody got injured, it was hard last year. One minute, they’re the best player and the next, they’re out of the side."
