A new 24-hour gym has opened in the St George’s Shopping Centre.
The Anytime Fitness branch is based near Sports Direct and has taken up two renovated units at the centre.
The national high street chain Savers will be opening in the next unit in early December.
Andrew Thomas-Knowles, Shopping Centre Manager, said, “The new gym is a much welcome addition, they have already brought a new energy to the centre.
"They have lots of popular classes such as spin and have disabled friendly. We’re pleased to be working with Anytime to offer members free parking here while they train too.”
Andrew Shepherd, Director at AS Retail, the leasing agent for The St George’s Centre, said: “We’re really pleased to see Savers moving in.
"This year a number of new retailers and businesses have brought their businesses to the shopping centre, while existing retailers have renewed their leases too, which is great news for Gravesend Town Centre as a whole.”
Both stores are recruiting, Anytime Fitness has vacancies available for full time and part time staff and will create 18 new jobs.
Savers is also recruiting with jobs advertised on the Indeed recruitment website.
Anytime Fitness is designed to cater for busy people, offering both tutor led classes between 7am to 7pm as well as virtual classes.
Members can drop in 24/7 and the gym has a team of qualified personal trainers available.
Savers specialises in branded health, home and beauty products at affordable prices.
There are currently over 300 Savers stores trading throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland with more than 3,000 staff working for the company.
