Gravesend boy charged with possessing knife and assaulting officer

A 15-year-old boy is to appear in court on suspicion of possessing a knife and assaulting a constable.

Police was called at 12.15am on Tuesday, January 30, to a report of a disturbance in Exeter Road, Gravesend, where the boy, from the town, was arrested.

He has since been charged with possessing an offensive weapon, assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty and a public order offence.

The boy has been bailed to attend Medway Youth Court on Tuesday, February 27.
