Another woman has come forward claiming a man tried to scam her on the A2.

Lynn Naylor was stopped by a man on the slip road at Cobham by the Nook Kennels last month, claiming he had run out of petrol.

The 54-year-old, from Meopham, said the man, who claimed to be German, offered her his gold ring in exchange for money.

Mrs Naylor got in touch after Linda Hughes posted a warning about a similar incident on the A2 near Bluewater on Monday.

Mrs Naylor told him she didn't have any cash and that she was late for an appointment and left.

She said: "I only stopped as he jumped in front of my car, I noticed the car had a foreign plate but not where it was from.

"The man was smartly dressed in a suit, I didn't see if he had a passenger, as I indicated to pull away another vehicle came along, he started to wave to that too and it braked and indicated to pull in front of me but as I pulled out so did he, I guess he thought we had had an accident.

"This man so needs to be stopped before someone vulnerable or gullible does as he asks.

"I couldn't work out if he wanted a lift to a fuel station or money he was rambling on so much."

Another woman, who did not wish to be named has also come forward. She said her husband had been stopped at Bluewater by a man, claiming he was a businessman and needed petrol money to get to Manchester for a meeting.

He gave the man £5 but then a passenger got out of the car and asked for £100 in exchange for their gold jewellery.
