The New Year will be welcomed by hundreds of people with a religious service and prayers followed by fireworks.
The service inside the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara, Gravesend, will finish after midnight, and the fireworks will start at 12.30am, lasting 10 minutes.
Visitors are advised to leave their cars in nearby public car parks, such as Lord Street, and walk to the Gurdwara via the main entrance in Guru Nanak Marg, at the end of Saddington Street, as the Gurdwara car park is likely to be full by about 9pm.
There will also be some traffic restrictions in place nearby.
Ajaib Singh Cheema, Mukh Sewadar (president) of the Gurdwara, said: “All local residents are invited to come and join us in the celebrations at the Gurdwara, so that we can all welcome the New Year together.
“We will also make every effort to ensure that any inconvenience to local residents is minimised.”
Alcohol, tobacco, any other intoxicants and meat are strictly forbidden from the entire Gurdwara complex and grounds, and this will be enforced.
