Police dished out 11 warnings and two vehicles were taken during a series of incidents relating to nuisance riders in the towns.

Four off-road bikes were stopped by police in Shorne Marshes with two riders handed Section 59 warnings.

The warnings are issued for riders flouting anti-social behaviour rules and mean the riders are prevented from attending the spot for 12 months or face having their vehicles impounded.

Other operations were reported in Gravesend, where seven orders were handed out by police community support officers.

Two vehicles were also seized.

Officers in Dartford stopped a quadbike and off-road motorcycle in Darenth Woods. They issued two warnings to the riders.

The county's police force has been cracking down on anti-social motorcyclists since the start of lockdown with several incidents across Kent.

Police issued several notices after seeing an increase of "irresponsible and unlawful" use of the bikes in Sheppey, Sittingbourne and Faversham earlier this month.

The public has been urged to increase reporting the use of bikes in parks and green spaces.

Last month, bikers in Dartford were also fined for ignoring social distancing rules at the height of the lockdown imposed on March 23.

Bikers riding through fields of crops in Medway were also stopped in April and handed the Section 59 warnings.
