Police seen at Prince of Orange Pub, Gravesend after reports of sexual assault

A man has been arrested after police were called to a popular pub to reports of a sexual assault.

Officers were seen searching at the Prince of Orange in Gravesend after the incident was reported at 5.50am yesterday.

Police arrested a man aged in his 50s and the suspect was later bailed pending further inquiries.

He will be required to report back to police on March 4.

Witnesses reported seeing three police cars and a forensic unit outside the pub in Windmill Street throughout the day on Tuesday.

It was also reported a dog unit was searching the closed premises.

By 3.30pm one police car remained at the scene.

A police spokesman said inquiries are ongoing.
