Man arrested after teenage boy hit by car in Whitehorse Lane, Harvel

A man has been arrested on suspicion of leaving a teenager seriously injured after the youngster was struck by a car last night.
The 36-year-old suspect from Longfield is being questioned by officers after he was taken into custody this afternoon.
He is accused of causing serious injury by dangerous driving in Whitehorse Lane, Harvel, near Meopham.
The teenage boy was rushed to a London hospital after the collision shortly after 9.30pm and remains in a serious condition.
The car - believed to be a dark-coloured 4x4 - was travelling in the direction of Snodland at the time and is said to have left the scene.
Police investigating the incident found a vehicle alight in Park Hill, Meopham, after the collision.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for anyone with information about the collision to come forward.
