Man arrested in murder investigation after stabbing in Hamerton Road, Northfleet

Detectives investigating the death of a 44-year-old man in Northfleet have made an arrest.
Officers and paramedics were called to a house in Hamerton Road at 2.45am today, and on entering the property found a 44-year-old man critically injured with stab wounds.

At about 4.30pm on the same day detectives arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
He was detained in Chelmsford and remains in custody as inquiries continue.
Officers remained on the scene throughout the day and forensics experts were seen entering a property on the residential street.
A 100-yard stretch of the road was cordoned off, with police cars parked at either end.
Sniffer dogs were also on the scene as officers searched around Hamerton Road and surrounding roads.
