Greenhithe Asda £3.1 million cash boost brings Subway, Timpson and pizza counter

A multi million pound cash injection will see a fast food store and pizza counter opened at a supermarket.

The supermarket in Crossways Boulevard, Greenhithe, received a £3.1million investment which has brought some brand new features.

Timpson and Subway shops have been added to the store as well as a hot pizza counter and extended home accessories department, Food to Go section and world foods range.

Customers can now enjoy their favourite pizza in the shop at the new Asda Kitchen addition.

The supermarkets George Home section has also had a makeover with 40 additional bays of homeware and interior fashion.

Optical and pharmacy counters have been refreshed, as well as updated toilets and improved scan and go and click and collect services.

Bridget Sparks, community champion at Asda Greenhithe, said: “We’re pleased customers can now see the results of all the hard work which has been taking place behind the scenes at the store.

“We’re really excited to introduce new features we know our customers will love, such as a hot pizza counter, and a hugely extended George Home section with 40 additional bays.

“We’d like to thank our customers for their patience throughout the disruption and hope they enjoy shopping in our new-look store.”

It comes a month after a McDonald's reopened in an Asda store in Gravesend.
