Boy arrested after teenager threatened with knife near village green in Meopham

A teenager has been arrested after a boy was reportedly threatened at knifepoint in an attempted robbery.
The victim is said to have been targeted near the village green in Meopham yesterday afternoon.
He was allegedly threatened with a knife before the attacker told him to hand over his valuables.
The boy refused and managed to get away after running from the scene.
Officers were called shortly after it happened at 3.20pm in Wrotham Road and arrested a 15-year-old boy from Dartford on suspicion of attempted robbery.
He remains in custody and is being questioned.
Police have issued a description of the suspect and have appealed for anyone who might have seen what happened to come forward.
He is described as black, about 5ft 10ins, slim with short, black hair.
Detectives are keen to see any privately held CCTV or dash camera footage recorded in the area at the time.
