Youngsters from cadet groups in the area enjoyed a week of challenging activities during the annual camp trip.
Cadets from Gravesend and Swanley who are members of the Kent Army Cadet Force (Kent ACF), went along to the training camp which was held in Thetford, Norfolk.
While at the camp they spent a number of nights living out in the field, learning military tactics and fieldcraft in mock ambush situations.
They also learnt about first aid, completed obstacle courses, competition shooting, navigation and drill training and turnout.
They also did other activities on the ACF syllabus which allow cadets to earn star levels and gain promotions.
Commandant of Kent ACF, Colonel Chris Gilbert, said: “Annual camp gives our young people the opportunity to go away with the other members of the ACF from all over the county; often forging new friendships and making memories that will last a lifetime.”
